About The Institute


Bora Institute of Allied Health Sciences was established in the year 2008 with an objective to meet the increasing demands of professional nursing staff in this modern age of medical advancements. After getting approval from the U.P. State Medical Faculty and Indian Nursing Council, Bora Institute of Allied Health Sciences was establishedunder the shades of Bora Polyclinic Limited.

BIAHS started off with 3 courses:‘General Nursing and Midwifery’,‘Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology’, and ‘Diploma in Dialysis Technology’. Encouraged by the increasing scope of the nursing profession andthe successful running of these courses, in December 2009,‘Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery’ course was started. One year later,after getting the approvals from ‘Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University’ and the ‘Indian Nursing Council’, the ‘Bachelor of Science in Nursing’course was started with an initial intake of 40 students.In the coming years, the institution also started ‘Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing’and‘Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology’courses which are affiliated to renowned universities like ‘Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University’ and ‘Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University’.

In the recent years, the institute also took the initiative to start the‘Diploma in Homoeopathy Pharmacy’ after approval from the Homeopathy Pharmacy Board of Uttar Pradesh.The institute also hopes to start the‘Bachelor of Physiotherapy’ course in the coming session.

To run all the courses with an optimum pace, the college has a well-organized infrastructure, which fully abides by the INC norms. Every classroom is well equipped with advanced teaching and learning aids. To aid creativity and skilful training of students,there isa Computer Lab, a Pre- Clinical Science Lab, an OBG Lab, an Advanced Practice Lab, a Community Lab, a Nutrition Lab, anAV Aids Lab etc. The college is also furnished with a library with more than 5000 multi-course books and journals. Students are given plenty of time to spend time reading different books of their interests in the library.

For clinical exposure, we send our students to hospitals other than our home hospital (i.e. Sewa Hospital) like Ram Manohar Lohia Super Specialty Hospital, Devaki Hospital, Jagrani Hospital, Midland Hospital, Omni Health Care, CHC Healthcare etc. Polio postings, community visits, seminars and conferences are also conducted from time to time.
